I see a lot of the same ideas and trade targets on here for NSH, so I just thought I'd look at some other players that NSH could potentially be interested in and see what that might look like.

Sabres pass for that price. Better options for a high 2nd plus.

It's a 2021 2nd. There's no way of knowing how high in the draft that pick is yet. I am genuinely curious which centers you think could be available for a 2nd & a 4th. I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Meh. We’re in win now, don’t see how this move helps VGK

I get that. It's more if they end up needing to shed cap this off-season.

Without putting any thought into is, Turris and Stepan. Both are preferable to Bonino.

Fleury is much harder to shed and he has a M-NTC -- not impossible to trade but not easy either, and you'd likely have to retain salary. Statsny has a M-NTC as well, but he'd probably be easier to deal than Fleury -- however the teams that could use him the most would likely be the teams on his no-trade list. With a flat cap, it could end up being fairly challenging trying to trade any players making that kind of salary.

Yeah we really aren’t in that bad of shape. Couple RFAs, and don’t have to worry about the expansion. If Lehner is taking the rumored 5x5 we’ll be ok

18 contracts with $4.9m in cap space currently -- even if Lehner signs the $5mx5 deal, that's now 4 contracts (including RFAs Stephenson and Cousins) that would need to be added and you're already over the cap. Moves will need to be made.

Oh I’m not saying they won’t have to be, but it’s not a doomsday.

I guess Stepan could come cheaper, but I wouldn't consider him better than Bonino at this point. Especially when you factor in the extra $2.4M Stepan makes. Turris I could see making sense for BUF, if his contract doesn't scare them off.
