Bad for the Nucks. You do not want that burns contract.

I understand that, but if they are taking Eriksson and Ferland, that itself is pretty decent

Ferland is gonna be on LTIR so dumping him shouldn't cost anything and the 1st cancels out the Eriksson contract so the Canucks are essentially trading Virtanen and Woo for Burns which would be a terrible trade for the Canucks

Canucks are in win now mode, whether you agree with Benning or not. Burns would prove to be a huge impact on the back end. Yes he had a down year last year, but you can't discredit what he would bring to the Canucks.

Plus that $2M cap relief is huge in re-signing players for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 off season

The Canucks are definitely in win now mode but with their core being so young they aren't gonna destroy their future just so they can try to win next year. Also, Burns's value is already gonna be diminished considering he isn't gonna get PP1 time. I'd rather see them move Eriksson for a pick instead of bringing in more cap that's probably gonna be dead weight in two years

Burns absolutely should be on their #1 PP unit.

No, it's Hughes's spot and that's not up for debate

He could take JT Miller's spot.

If San Jose rebuilds, we totally agree to this.
