Andersson for Rakell doesn't move the needle what so ever. Ducks would significantly add

WTF is that Dumba trade? I don't think Minny is just looking give him away. I would think they would want more than that.

If anything I think you gave up too much for Kuempfer. He's probably gone to the first team offering a first, or a prospect and a 2nd/3rd.

Then the Ducks look elsewhere, Flames arent the only team that would have interest in Rakell

.75 PPG averages 60 points a season, center, strong PP guy, plays against other teams top shut down lines = Giving away... come on, if he was on the Leafs he'd be a 10 million dollar player. I'm not justifying the rest of your comment after that.

Completely disagree. Points are not the only argument. His corsi is 50%, despite getting 60% offensive zone starts (he's a negative corsi relative player too). Hockey viz has him as a terrible defensive player(+12%), with a small +2% bump for offence. Without him on offence the Flames are a plus 4, so he's actually providing negative value.

Just because Minnesota wants a centre, doesn't mean they want your centre. Based on the numbers that are not points, Monahan appears to add little value on his own. Maybe they both had down seasons and need a fresh start, but I think Minnesota would look for more, or at least a player who could raise their teammates play better. He may play against top lines, but he gets smoked by them.

After reading the part about wanting to pay that guy 10 million dollars, there's no way I should justify the rest of your comment either there big shooter.

Right which doesn't consider he plays with a defensively inept Johnny Gaudreau. Advanced stats are great in a vacuum but cherry pick arguments that can be completely nonsensical.

I don't want to pay him 10 mill, I said if he was with the Leafs that management group would well over pay him, use your head here, keep up pal.

Okay cool. Hockey viz stats take into account the player on their own, but yes, players are often affected by their linemates. And I don't want to get into a whole thing here. But seeing as how he plays with an all offensive no defensive star winger, shouldn't he score more? And if he was a good #1 centre that you seem to think, wouldn't he able to defend anyway (since that's much more of a centre's job than a wings). Is it maybe that he isn't just that great? I will leave you to ponder these questions, and more, on the journey we call life. Adios.

Point out where I said he is a good #1 C. If you can find exactly where I said that I'll give you the credit you think you deserve.

Cherry picking one small part of an argument makes your point weaker, not stronger FYI. I think we're done here. Have a nice weekend.

Shoot eh.. just not there is it? Making things up to validate your point doesn't enhance your argument either. So long goof ball!

Monahan is a 25-year old 1C who averages 30G and 35A per season. Ever heard of him?

A 1C, as in the exact position that MIN is most interested in finding a player to fill. As in the position most difficult to find a long-term player to fill.

MIN is actually getting better value than they are paying in this deal.
