Not really interested in Statsney at all at this point, especially for a roster player.

a) why?.... he has a 10 team no-trade list, I'd guess for one season he would rather go there than a non-contender (Ottawa, Detroit, Buffalo, NJ, LA, and Anaheim have to be the first teams he writes down).
b) They've done that 2 of the last 3 years, with Stastny, and Hayes, and significantly overpaid for them, now they get a stop gap while massively underpaying.

it's a 1 year issue, that's the point of it being for a player who may not even break the roster.
