Olofsson is not getting dealt. Hanifin is just as bad at defense as Ristolainen regardless so its a rather fair swap.

Doesn't make a ton of sense for Pittsburgh to downgrade on 3LW in a McCann trade, they're in win now mode

its not a downgrade for a guy they benched and who hasn't been as productive as Johansson.

he got benched for exactly one (1) game all season so that Marleau could keep his active games streak while they tried something different on the third line, which was even worse without him......

he's 5 years younger than MoJo and had a better season production wise while eating second line center minutes for part of the year

he's still developing and has improved every season, with no indication that trend will stop

there isn't a single stat you can cite showing MoJo would be better for the Penguins than just keeping McCann would be

there's a reason the original poster sent the pick in the Penguins direction

I agree Olofsson wont be traded but that Hanifin take is just very wrong

Hanifin really doesn't know how to play defense. Maybe Ristolainen is a reach, but still.

Wrong again, he is a very solid 2-way defender and still only 23

If Vegas wants to drop the Fluery contract for the next two years and sign Lehner, they are going to have to move a forward who has a fairly high cap hit. Tuch is the only forward who does not have any no movement clauses. His value is high so they can also maximize the return they get for him.

For what little you may think that Hanifin is better than Risto, Olofsson is better than Bennett.
