Severe overpay for Trouba. These are not the players we need right now. We are in a rebuild by the time we are an actual Stanley cup contender they players will be past their prime and could very well end up being bad contracts. Not a good idea imo to get these players just because they are from Michigan. Greiss I'm fine with.

As a Ranger fan I would do that trade in a heartbeat. Detroit should not. Seider is one of the guys you build around and you shouldn't be trading first round picks.

I’d rather have Seider than Trouba and I’d rather have our 2021 1st than trouba. That’s super bad for Detroit

I wouldn't trade Seider straight up for Trouba, actually I wouldn't trade the 2021 1st for Trouba either, idk why Detroit would even consider that trade.

Trouba is terrible, I wouldn't recommend giving up LGD (who is overrated as well, but still)
I doubt you'd get value for Helm at all
Nemeth was the best d man on the team last year (low bar, but still) I'd give way more than a 4th
Tierney is massively overrated too... he'd be the 2nd best C on this team, but he is far from an ideal 2C, like ik you're tanking, but then why would you give a second and a spec for him...
Bowey is terrible and not an NHL caliber d man, Hino had a down year, but was a legit top 6F in 18-19

Oh also neither Trouba or Krug are top pairing d men, much less stars...

The ranger trade is the worst trade on the internet for the wings wow. The trade is more like trouba to the red wings with 2M retained for svechnikov as a cup dump for rangers. Wowoowowowowow

The new star D pairing will hopefully be Seider and whoever they draft with next year's 1st. Look at Minnesota to see what you get if you try and build your core by signing big ticket UFAs and trading for established NHL players.

Your signing are miles off, Bertuzz 7 x $5.3m, Mantha 7 x $7.5m, Krug 7 x $7.5m or $7 x $8.0m Seider will be miles better then Trouba we're not trading Seider and a top 5 pick for an overpaid Trouba that doesn't do anything for our D Detroit's not dealing Rasmussen+2nd round pick for an overrated Tierny no freaking way this is bad for Detroit and purely laugh

Moritz Seider and one of the top 3-4 defensemen taking in the 2021 draft both have a good chance of being better than Trouba. Detroit is not in win now mode, there is zero reason to trade two potential foundational building blocks for a way overpaid defenseman.
