Selling both guys cheap. Way to cheap for OEL (wouldn't target Carter at all) but you never know in this bizarre market.

Its an odd time for sure. Whenever you're ordered to do something you tend to not get fair value. Freddie is still a decent goalie though.

But you have to be able to do better than that for OEL.

sure. I can see that. The hard part for me was there are three factors a team should have in an OEL trade. A need for LD...cap space available...and a contract coming back with less salary than cap. NJD and LAK are the two I could come up with. Maybe an extra prospect?

That Ekman-Larsson trade is laugh I'm sure there's teams out there that would give the Yotes a by far better offer then that.

At a minimum. Or another high pick (add another 2nd or a 1st minimally). Carter has negative value.

He didn't have a good year and still costs a TON of money in a flat cap environment. He's also going to be 30 next year with 7 years left. It might not be too long until this contract is pretty bad.

Yeah his play was bad on a not very good Coyote team, Put him in Boston or other very good teams and his play will get better.

They were a playoff team... AND his metrics relative to his teammates were bad. Church was by far their Best Dman...and he also plays LD on a cheaper contract. I can fully agree that maybe another pick prospect should be included, but OEL is becoming a dime a dozen. There are lots of puck movers in the NHL today and they won't cost $8.25M. The Dstoppers are harder to find.

You don’t get Andersen and 15th OVR for Kuemper, and this is coming from a coyotes fan.

I also like the yotes. Lived there a long time. BUT it does seem to say your a Leafs fan 1st in your profile...So I'm certain there's bias here. Freddie is a fine goalie, but he's not even close to Darcy. Freddie's coming off a bad year in which TOR is actively looking to trade him away. He was 30th in SV% among all goalies with 25 games. This is a HUGE win for TOR and they even get a 2nd rounder. Also, another very minor part is the $500k in cap TOR gets back.

Canes are interested in Kuemper and rights to Hall.

A package around Bean? Allows you to move a defender to save money elsewhere too.

I personally don't think Bean has nearly as much value as most Canes fans on here. And yes I do following the Yotes/Canes, but Hawks mostly. He can't be a center piece, but he can be part of it. The 1st and Bean? CAR's still got a lot of cap issues to solve though and they don't have any players AZ wants...meaning salary savings.
