As a Strict NHL fan, that doesn't change my opinion.

Yeah pretty sure Minnesota declines that, Probably take Mittelstadt+Buffalo's 2021 2nd round pick for Jonas Brodin with a 6 year $36 million extension attached to it.

Fair but supposedly he bought the Sabres for Kim with the plan that he would buy the Bills for himself. He's never been a big hockey guy I guess which I can't fault him for not truly caring then.

I figured they'd jump at the chance to have Ullmark since they have no real goaltending future and Ullmark has been solid with more potential to top it. Including 38th overall this year which is more of a late first than a true second and a decent depth forward I thought it was pretty fair without an extension in place.

They just constantly say that they are a team and make all decisions together, and now it seems that Terry just doesn't care about the Sabers.

are we thinking of the same terry pegula???? he literally broke down in tears at center ice when the french connection came out because he loved them so much....he went to sabres games as a kid and he fell in love with hockey at a young age...he's as big of a hockey fan as me and you...don't make excuses for his failures

Agreed on Kim Pegula. Not on the Arizona and Minnesota trades. Both are underpays. That said, you targeted the right guys in the AZ deal. Just add more value. Deal.probably needs a 1st worked in somewhere.

Oh I had read he wasn't a big hockey guy. I mean I would love for the team to be good though. They just seem unwilling or incapable of making good business decisions from fake jerseys for alumni to the players they put on the ice.

Bills make money, Sabres don't. The Pegulas love money. Story explained.

You're probably right, That's just bare minimal to even get Bill Guerin on the phone. Right now Mittelstadt's value is pretty low.

What would your suggestion be for the Arizona trade if that was our targeted 3 player package? I wouldn't wanna include 8th overall so it'd have to be 2021's first

It would be logical then to sell the team, and not torture the fans and yourself.

I think they both cared in the beginning when they first bought the team but then everything spiraled so far out of control that they couldn't regain stability in terms of the off ice and on ice product so they just gave up...that's why they still give a sh*t about the bills, for now.

Yeah but then you can't hold a monopoly on the city's sports franchises and strongarm them into paying for a new stadium.

funny thing is Terry will never swallow his pride and sell the team. he will never admit that he screwed this team up to the point where he has to sell the team. he'll make us suffer for the foreseeable future.

I think the thing i hate the most about the pegulas was the botterill stuff. Botterill was probably the worst gm ive ever seen. If he had a plan, he hid it well. Draft well?- nope. Develop young players?- nope. Sign players to smart contracts?- nope. Identify gaping holes on the roster and fill them?- nope and nope. Yet they gave this clown a wholey unwarranted seal of approval, only to fire him a few weeks later when their own finances and the pandemic made it more cost effective to clear house. For gods sake, hire a president of hockey ops to make hockey decisions. A lot of the financial stuff has me thinking about perspective. The bills make money even if nobody goes to a game because of the tv contract. Hockey has nothing remotely close to that. I believe kim pegula made comments to that effect, saying something like "we know the sabres will lose money, we just have to decide how much"- im paraphrasing. I thought 5 billion was absurd bill gates/jeff bezos/scrooge mcduck money, but maybe its not.

At the same time, as I understand it, they lose a lot of money every year because of the Buffalo Sabres, although they themselves are to blame for this because of the poor management of the franchise.

What? He cried when he saw Gilbert Perreault at his first press conference and didnt shut up for 5 years about having season tickets. Massive blind spot to hate on his wife while not having a clue

Hating on Kim but not Terry is just blatant sexism

Why? Do you primarily consider her as a woman or as a manager, regardless of gender?
