Reminder: whitelist Capfriendly on your ADblockers!

Ads help keep the site going and they are non intrusive banners at the top and bottoms of the screen. Every little bit helps!

Are the ads also supposed to pop up over the top of the screen, forcing you to close them out? Seems like I get more and more of those on CF that past 2-3 days.

don't like it at all. I don't mind the banners at the top/bottom, but having to "x" out of ads across the screen when going page to page is annoying.

That's why I use adblocker... I wouldn't if it was like before, but no thank you

We've added them as an experiment.

They are supposed to only show once per hour at maximum

We've turned them off for desktop screens, and may also turn them off for mobile as well.

Have you thought about micro ads underneath every post? Almost like a signature for each forum post if you get what I mean.

How many ads do you actually need? There are already 3 or 4 ads on every page.

Forum pages 3, after first post, and bottom.
AGMs 3: top, between picks/roster, and bottom.

Team pages have 4: Top, between picks/roster, between roster/non-roster, and bottom.
Player pages have 4: Top, between bio/current contract, between current contract/past contract, and bottom.

Starting to look like dasher boards.

They don’t generate all that much money. More ads = more capital available for the owners of the site.

Ads don't generate as much revenue as you would suspect.

We've always tried to limit the number of ads to keep a good UX, we wanted to test vignette ads to see what they were like.

I completely supppet the new changes. How hard is it to just tap the top corner of your screen. It takes no effort or time at all, and the creators of this amazing site deserve every penny they get.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I find it hilarious that half the ads that I get are what looks like clickbait written by computers with a photo of Gretzky above it.

Please understand, I have ZERO negatives about you needing/wanting to generate revenue. But those oddball full screen ads are... thumbs down.
