You aren’t wrong here. Buffalo at least makes it a 2020 to sweeten the deal though.

What’s a Murray arbitration contract going to cost? I can’t see a team trading for him until they know his contract. Rutherford has almost no leverage with Murray right now.

Are you one of those Pittsburgh fans who’s been trying to convince Sabres fans that Bjugstad was worth a third round pick? Pittsburgh had to retain half his salary just to get a conditional seventh rounder for him. 😆 Murray’s value has never been lower, and McCann is a 3rd liner. The second round pick for the pair is actually pretty good, assuming Buffalo would just take on the money. Which they won’t, so it’s kind of a moot point.
