Don't even have to trade Moore, send him to the AHL and you still save roughly $1.1 mil in cap space

You're dreaming; anyways, forget that deal, we can just bury him.

What's with all this Moore crap to Detroit, We don't want him or need him. We're not helping Boston out by taking their scraps.

I know Moore’s deal is long and heavy for his production. But he’s really not a bad player... he’s a good skater decent penalty killer, got injured and lost his spot in the lineup to two younger players. He’s a pro, and DET needs to get up to the cap floor. Probably a decent player to have on a team with a lot of young defensemen. To not take Anders Bjork b/c you don’t want Moore is crazy to me. Missing out on a good potential player. Maybe I’m bias but if I’m BOS I’d rather just bury Moore keep Bjork.

We're set at LD this season and it's not out of the possibility of us signing Krug and we will have zero issues reaching the cap floor.

Plays both sides but whatever... I get ya. I wouldn’t want to give Bjork up anyways. If Krug goes to DET it’s not like the bruins are gonna be hand tied to dump Moore. They’ll probably just bury him.

I don’t know why people assume Detroit needs help to hit the cap floor @61.5M. We will do it with Bert & Mo’s signing.

I have no problem with Moore on the bottom pairing but he isn’t really needed since we already have Nemeth for that spot and Cholowski will get called up to see what we have before ED. Ideally we would go after the UFA you signed (Dillon) to help solidify our top 4.

Sure... I forgot to add Bertuzzi in my head, thats my bad. I just think in general, people on here see John Moore and think theres no way he can play for their team, which isnt true. Is he overpaid yes, but in this case if youre getting a player with top 6 potential like Bjork youd have to at least think about making that deal. If he doesnt fit, he doesnt fit.

Same, but that's what it takes to get UFAs. Also, the way I see it, the bruins will be retooling in a couple of years anyway, so it's not the end of the world if they have some less than ideal contracts at that time.
