Absolutely no chance Winnipeg considers this laughable offer.

Maybe you don't watch the Habs. But this is like Shea Theodore+Alec Martinez+Alex Tuch for Laine

And frankly it's overpayment for a guy that solely scores off the rush and on the pp and does absolutely nothing else.

Put Domi with great finishers and playmakers like Scheifele and Wheeler and he'll get more than 70 pts easy.

Winnipeg laugh at the Laine offer, Fat chance of Pietrangelo taking a 7 x 8 offer from Montreal try more like 7 x 10 and 7 x 9 for Hall

Why? they are getting second line center a first D and up coming top 4 defender. Jets are filling there roster and improving it.

I remember when they used to chirp "Laine's better" when TOR came to Winnipeg... They don't anymore laugh

In the current context this is really good offers and specially when Habs are one of the teams that can offer most of there salaries in Bonus making it front loaded. It is not just about numbers you have to consider the payment package.

I don't now about that, with the cap situation those offers might be in line with reality. Maybe 8.5x7 yrs. It should be an interesting off season. In regard to Hall I would not do a 7yr. deal for him.

Why?

Cause this year Laine was one of the best defensive fwd’s on the team, sacrificing his offence for better defensive play. And you’re extremely overvaluing every MTL player as they’re all older and in no way near comparable to Tuch, Martinez, and Kulak. The only MAYBE close is Petry to Martinez. Otherwise not even close

Because Kulak is a bottom pairing guy and adds no value, Petry will be 33 and is a rental and Domi is looking to get overpaid or force his way to UFA in 2 years. So, there isn't anything there that starts the conversation.

and in 2 years, the team dismantles

Y1 re-signing of, Laine, Gallagher, Danault, Armia, Lehkonen, KK and a backup (presumably call up Primeau, but that's still money off the cap)

Y2 re-signing of Chiarot, Mete, Juulsen, Romanov, Pool-party, Jost, Suzuki and Evans.

and they likely aren't good enough to win a cup in those 2 years.

All these Montreal giant trades and signings don't seem to consider the future, they're video game trades.

Carolina has been heavily linked to Patrik Laine.

Haha, Laine's the league's leader in high danger chances against

I mean, I've read dumb **** on this website, but "Laine's the best defensive forward on his team" takes the cake

These are always funny. Habs fans beg for Laine. They are told by all fans that their lowball offer is laughable. Habs fans cry, well we didn't want him anyways. 30 seconds later, Habs fans are back begging, please trade Laine to Montreal. And the cycle repeats. grin
