So the Leafs trade for a worse goaltender with more term for a joy of having another late 2nd round pick? gross

"You can't fire me because I quit"

Also with Leafs having a deep left side D and needing players that are pains in the ass to play against, the Leafs would definitely definitely take this if it was on the table lol...Theyd cost the same, if you think the Leafs wouldn't do this then you have a very flawed perception of why this team is so dreadful come playoff time

Leafs players are just soft. They like it easy. That's why they struggle in the deeper atmosphere of playoff hockey.

I think with a different blend of tougher players, they would be able to succeed playing the way they do. But its very one-dimensional at the moment. Thats why Simmonds is such a popular name for them.
They gobble up Lemieux if that was a real offer, wouldn't even blink

I think people don't really realize just how good he is. He's not for sale so I apologize for that. You don't need to take him.

Dermott is one of our better defensive players. We need defence man actually. He's just not quite top pairing yet, that why everyone is crazy about getting a top pairing d. I think at the peak of his career he will be a top pairing defence man.

Yes the Rangers and all their "tough to play against players" took them very very deep in the playoffs

Lemieux only played one game and he's the only tough player were talking about. Read a book

I think you're in the minority there. Thats why you see him getting moved for 4th line wingers in a one-for-one

I know you don't like Boston cause no Leafs fan does but Boston is going to lose Krug so why not start shopping Dermott over to Boston... Just a thought.

If they offer enough, I think that’s not a bad idea. Of course, he will score a game 7 overtime goal against us next year...

Your not seriously selling Lemieux as the catalyst to the Rangers getting wholoped by the canes

How are you gonna ignore the fact our defense had Marc Staal, Brendan Smith, and 38 year old Henrik Lundqvist smh.

Thats literally not what anyone is saying. The Leafs need guys like Lemieux to fill in the rest of their lineup so that they don't get pushed around in the playoffs like they have for years on end. Everyone who understands hockey can see that that is their issue. So they would be smart to trade for Lemieux if he was on the table for a one-for-one with Dermott. If you think the Leafs wouldn't do that deal in a heartbeat then thats just ignorance

That doesn't do much. He's a third pair guy. I like Dermott but he's not reliable for heavy minutes.
