Windjammer, I agree that Laine should not be traded (which is obviously your stance, because you reject every Laine trade on the site), but under no circumstances should a person get "flamed" for posting a trade on Capfriendly. Windjammer, or should I say, Patrik, you are taking this way too seriously. Chill.

You call Jets fans picky but refuse to offer that quality 1-1 that we are looking for, and Habs fans just don’t seem to get it. The Jets fan base aren’t looking at selling off Laine for a cluster of parts that the Habs are looking at getting rid of anyways. I recognize that there is definitely quality in the players that have been offered, not only in this proposal but in many others and in many cases have been overpays for Laine, but it still doesn’t change that Winnipeg wants a young, skilled quality piece with team control that can fit the 2C spot while filling in the top line when needed or a T4 RHD. That would be KK or Suzuki. Romanov is still unproven (although tons of potential) but doesn’t help us now. You wouldn’t accept an offer like that for Suzuki, so don’t make it for Laine.
Otherwise I like that trade as a base, but if we are taking Alzner, you would need to add and change that 21’ 1st to this years. Remove him and you could remove the first altogether and probably get away with one of your seconds

I don't mind discussing Laine trades, but they're only fun if they are semi-realistic. Thus one is offering a meh 2/3C, a bottom pairing defenseman, a first from NEXT year and a cap dump. So, we all know it is a thinly veiled attempt at a troll offer. And troll offers aren't fun for anyone.
