Yeah, there's a huge chance you can get Byfield anyways, hope they do get Byfield, Holtz too, that'd be crazy, Abramov/Byfield/Holtz, that'd be CRAZYYYY!!!!! I know I said I hate the team, but if that line ever happens, I'd be happy for them, they'd be closer to a cup than the leafs already are

i dont think Abramov becomes more than a 3rd liner imo

I could see him on the 2nd line, he was a huge point producer in the minors, then they put him on a checking line in the AHL, that's what will happen when you get to the AHL, they'll put a good point producer on a checking line and their points drop

The current trade does not get you Ekblad.

Mannnn, a lot of people on this site ask for way too much for a player, that trade in reality could get you a lot of key pieces back, Lassi Thomson and Logan Brown alone could even get you a top 15 pick in this years draft, Thomson is a really good offensive defenceman, Logan Brown was 11th overall in his draft year and is a good third line center right now, then you add Duclair and the Isles 1st, wow, now you're way over paying for Ekblad, might as well take Florida's 1st too, or if you still feel sorry for them, 2 of their 2nd rounders

Oh missed the second, whoops. That makes a difference a bit. Sorry if I sound harsh, just going off what literally everyone else says about Ekblad to Toronto. They ask Nylander plus Dermott plus like a second. Comparing that, Duclair equals Dermott. So do Thomson plus Brown plus a first equal Nylander and a second? I wouldn't say so. It's not horrible actually, with the second and another second it might do the trick, but you have to realize elite player fetch high returns. They don't get traded for a bunch of decent players, and if they do, they are usually bad for the team giving up the best player.

Thomson and Brown are both 2 of our top prospects and both were 1st round picks. Duclair can be a good top 9F and a 1st and 2nd can be more good pieces added

I realize they are good, but are they really anywhere near Ekblad? No, and they likely won't ever be (not to say they won't be good. I'm sure they will).

To the sens or the leafs? I'm assuming you mean the leafs. Why not? He's a top 10 right defence man in the nhl. Maybe even for defence man as a whole.
