Created by: Rob32sjsharks

Initial Creation Date: Sep. 10, 2020

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Forward group has way more legit depth boasting 9 legit top 9 forwards( as oppose to 5 top 9 last season)with a few kids ready to step in if injuries strike. We’re weak in top end talent especially since we lost a huge piece in Meir. But holtz puts some solid youth in our lineup
D I know sharks want merkley up bad so he gets shot 1 with middlelstat shot 2 shot 3 Pasichunuk.

In Goal
jones bounces back ( god I hope so)
Hutchinson is cheap security blanket to give the kids one more year to grow, unless Melnichuyk Or Korenar shine in camp and push the envelope.

Is this a cup contender? Playoff team? Or are we in store for a lottery pick????

He wants out, that’s more than fair value do you think someone will give you more?

Almost 100%. His contract is a huge plus for him at this point; he's the perfect rental. I could see him getting a first-round-pick and a very good prospect at the deadline.

That’s a trade deadline value, off season value is slightly less and him only having 1 year left (on what I will agree is a good value) hurts his value a tad. I’m offering a 1st 3rd and a decent prospect, I don’t think your getting to much better unless someone gets desperate.

I’ve seen it both ways I really don’t care either way, SJ is horrible drafting in the 3rd anyways.

He doesn't "want out"... He said he doesn't want to be a defensive 3C... Why would he want to be 3C in San Jose

In Montreal he’s going to end up a grinding 3c
San Jose deploys 3 line rotation with a 4th line of grinders
And he will end up either 2/3 line or even the 1 RW, depends on chemistry and fit! You need to read between the lines and see that when a guy says stuff like he did it’s a “show me I matter and I’m going to get what I want and I’ll stay otherwise trade me now” but in the nicest way he can!

You need to watch more Habs hockey if you think Danault is a grinding 3C in Montreal...

I hope you have a good day man.

Why do you think I want him?
He is not a grinder D first center and he isn’t ready to be one that’s why the rumors about him wanting out started.
I feel he’s legit top 6 and when he’s hot top line caliber guy but if he’s on a 3rd line meant for scoring and utilize his skills and the potential missmatch to our advantage!
And if he won’t play on the 3rd line that’s fine 2 c or 2 RW would be fine
