The Turris contract is worse then Neal’s more money and a extra yrs term Edmonton not doing that
The jets aren’t moving Ehlers for a winger any deal for Ehler would start with Nuge going the other way Edm not interested in moving Nuge but if they did it would be for a top 6 winger and 3rd line centre Nuge will be giving a extension
You can’t sign AA for 2 mil he has to be qualified at 3mil or he becomes a UFA

Detroit doesn't want Russel, And Ehler's is worth more then scraps like AA and Larsson try adding Nugent-Hopkins to the deal as well.

I heard Holland was offering AA a $2.2M x 2 year deal. COVID has reset salary expectations, so if Holland has to he can not qualify AA and let him test the market, then revisit the contract in week 2 of free agency. I doubt teams are lining up to sign AA at $3M, not when more than half the teams have internal caps lower than $81.5M and most of the rest have no cap space anyhow.

Russell has one year left and has a salary of $1.5M. Lots of teams will want him as an upgrade defensively and on the PK for just $1.5M.

Of the 177 defensemen who played at least 600 minutes at 5v5 this season, Russell's on-ice 1.62 GA/60 was 2nd lowest in the league. He was 9th in Blocked Shots/60 and 7th in Takeaways/60.

He makes 4M towards the flat cap, the wings are not one of those teams competitive that will need this. If we are taking his cap hit you are paying for it. If you think he has value then trade him to a cup contender cause any cap hit coming to the wings costs you

Oh, I'm not saying Detroit wants to upgrade their defense at all, because I don't think there's any evidence for saying that. Just saying that Russell won't require multiple picks to move due to the circumstances we find ourselves in.

The guy here has him traded to Detroit though, that's why I was defensive about it, but absolutely agree a contender would take him without compensation. My comments were based on a dump to Detroit only
