Charles Hudon can barely get you a 7th round pick. And his next stop is NOT in the NHL most likely.
Jake Virtanen is NOT better than Armia in my opinion. Virtanen traded for Armia, one on one, I would decline being the Habs.
Virtanen has all the markings of a failed 1st rounder. Armia is a big strong 1st rounder who is a Top 6 forward and still very young.
I wouldn't even trade away a 4th rounder for Virtanen. He'll be out of the NHL in 3 years, mark my words.

Oilers are taking chances on guys like Adam Cracknell, I’m sure they’ll take Hudon for a cheap price.

Armia is a better role player than Virtanen. He’s more valuable, but the Canucks don’t do this for reasons stated above

Cracknell cost them nothing though. They will get Hudon for nothing, that's what I was saying. But I see your point. You're right, Hudon should be getting a chance somewhere. But I don't expect any team to give more than a 7th round pick.

As far as Virtanen, I just have this strong gut feeling that he'll be one of those 1st round picks that doesn't become a steady NHLer. There are literally a TON of those. Sort of like a Nikita Sherback. Will linger here and there, be traded a few times, but never fully develop. Yakupov. Cody Hodgson (Vancouver). Just a feeling.
