I like that deal as Leaf. Avs probably like the cost efficient Compher over one year of Saad.

Kubs and Strome will both sign for more which means this would never work because of cap. Also Murphy is the hawks best dman so even with the addition of Brodin, this team is still worse than it started

theres some speculation going on for a deal involving Strome and Murphy going to the leafs. Its intriguing but Strome will cost more than Kerfoot so cap wise it does not make sense

Source? (Not in a snarky way, am curious and would like to see where its coming from) I think Kerfoot would be a good option at 3c if we were to end up trading Strome but idk that trading them for each other necessarily makes sense for either team

Strome and Kubalik will not sign for more. Strome is not arbitration eligible and his comps have him at $3.5M for 2 years roughly or $3M for 1 year. Kubalik is arbitration eligible but he has no comps. He could get $4M for a year or two but not more.

Strome will cost around $3M for 1 year or $3.5m for 2 or 3 years. He's not arbitration eligible and his comps reflect those kinds of deals. I honestly don't know what the Leafs can provide back besides Nylander. Maybe it's Murphy and Strome for Nylander but don't like it for the Hawks.

I think Kubalik will get at least 4mx2yr. An offer sheet of ~4.36m wouldn't cost a team anything but a 2nd round pick.

A offer at $4.38m would cost a 1st and 3rd and Hawks probably take it if it's a mid 1st. At $4.36M Hawks match which means their offer to Kubs will be $500K less and likely gets him signed.

$500k is 500k.

I've been advocating for saad for compher for a while. Avs fans pretty much shut it down

I've had Avs fans agree to a 3rd and JT for Saad. It's a good fit for what they need. Not sure I love it, but definitely helps the Avs
