Nothing against Danault, great player, but I think Buffalo can draft a player a lot better than Danault at 8 in this year’s draft.

There’s no way Danault is worth that much.

I doubt Danault re-signs in Buffalo, so the Sabres reject.

I don’t think they are going to be much of a team this year anyway. Keeping 8th overall would be better long term.

Today i would say cirelli>bpa at 8oa=danault extended. Danault without an extension, its less than 8oa, i doubt we would find common ground with montreal.

The Habs really shouldn't assume that both Suzuki and Kotkaniemi are ready for the show because of a few good games in the bubble.

They're gonna end up doing what Buffalo did with O'Reilly, which is trading him assuming Mittlestadt was ready. And we all know how that worked out for them.

Suzuki is ready for a big role he proved that in the playoffs. KK will be given the chance to be 2C but with either Domi or Danault being 3C there won’t be much difference in ice time. He’s not going to be thrown into the fire he’s going to get some skill playing with him in hopes of giving him that push forward.

Stepan was better coming off 4 straight 53 + point seasons and quality playoff production also. Was also not nearly as highly touted a draft in 2017
