Moving seabs and adding Gaudreau

Created by: WhatNowDiscussion
Team: 2020-21 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 14, 2020
Published: Sep. 14, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1. I love Koekkoek game. He's a smooth skater, very physical, and smart defensively. He showed a lot of promise in the playoffs and he looks to be a potential top 6 defenseman

2. Adding a true third line center allows the hawks to have 2 high end scoring lines and a shutdown line rather than having to pull players apart to even out lines.

3. I would rather go all in on Kubs now than risk another Panarin fiasco. Kubs looks legit as he's dominated every league he's played in. Plus if it pays off, you have a 30+ goal scorer getting payed under $7 mil

Isles would only do this if you could practically guarantee Seabrook would make LTIR, at which point, this trade would be a gamble for Chicago to see if Ladd can also make LTIR. So not worth it for Chicago either. The Isles might attempt something very similar to this with a different albatross contract, but that contract wouldn’t have to be as buy out proof as Seabrook’s is.

HAHAHAHA no. Dach has much more value than gaudreau. Plus all indications point to flames making some drastic moves and Strome and Nylander combined will have a lower cap hit than gaudreau allowing for more freedom to either sign FA's or trade for better players.

Nylander can barely make the nhl and Strome would be 3c for the flames. Gaudreau has the 11th most points since he entered the league and only 9 less than ovechkin and gaudreau played less games. If you want gaudreau it will cost Dach and 2022 first

Nylander was on pace for over 30 points in his first full season. I wouldn't call that a barley NHLer not to mention he's only 22. Strome could easily slot in at the number 2 position over Backlund.

I would honestly argue Strome bineg better than both Monahan and Backlund. At center strome has something like 80 points in 95 games with the hawks. Colliton threw him on the wing and he had 3 points in 13 games. A line of gudreau-strome-Lindholm would no doubt be as productive if not more productive than in monahan was in there. Mohanham really isn't that good IMO. And Dach is absolutly untouchable and both like double gudreau anyways lol

I don't think his trade is fair to the flames but honestly it's hell of a lot better than yours.

Strome is a clear inferior version on Monahan, they are both big players with bad foot speed and dont hit. The difference is Monahan is a much better offensive player

I agree however Strome is 2 years younger and when given the opportunity to get consistent playing time, looks to be dominate. The reason I'm moving him is because hawks have Dach and Toews

I'm aware of why you are moving him but he definitely doesn't return Gaudreau. He is also a horrible fit for Calgary, the last thing they need is a 2nd (worse) version of Monahan. It's as simple as Flames don't want anything to do with Strome
