2 way responsible winger who could be great on Eichel’s wing and he’s not soft either

Interesting. I’d take Ristolainen...

What would you want for Rakell? I think he'd be a great fit for MN, either as a 2C or winger.

He’s best suited as a RW but use him as you wish. I wouldn’t mind one of Dumba, Boldy, Fiala, Kaprizov, or the 9th pick.

Fiala, Kaprizov, and the 9th are no goes. Dumba, I would rather keep to try and use to go after someone like Cirelli or Monahan. Obviously, the thought process here would be to add a high-end player like Rakell on top of Fiala and Kaprizov to overhaul our top six.

If it took Boldy, I wouldn't be opposed to it. But that would feel light. We'd likely have to add but I'm not sure what. Any ideas there? But something could be built around Boldy going back.

The thought I had rolling around in my head lately is Zuccarello with $2M retained, Greenway, Beckman, and our 2021 2nd. Zuccarello would just be a stop-gap until Beckman was ready.

I was a Freshman during his Junior year there at Spring Lake Park High School. While I only knew him in passing given the age gap between us, he was already playing on the varsity team at that point, I had my fair share of interactions with him. To be blunt, I was pretty small for my age, not to mention skinny, so I tended to get picked on a lot. Although I hit a growth spurt about a year or so later, that that stopped. Despite Backes being a jock, he's a pretty good guy, or at least he was, back when I knew him. He'd always tell people to knock it off if they were giving me crap and make sure I was okay afterwards. Or give a friendly wave or nod as we walked past teach other.

My former next door neighbor knew him a lot better than I did, as he played with him on the varsity team at the time. But it's still one of my favorite stories to tell, and because you decided to throw in Backes into the trade it was too good of a segway not use it.

Domi for Rakkel

Juulsen/Fleury could be added. Young RD NHL ready projected to be 3rd pair.
