The problem with Alzner is that he will cost $4.6 M and another $4.6 M next year. The problem is the $4.6 M next year. If Mtl buy him out the cap impact will be $2 M next year. We need cap in the 2021-2022 and this is why Alzner has to be buy out. (bought out) .... to be englisherie correct.

According to this scenario, there is not much room to replace Jordan Weal. Hopefully Ylonen would be an option....

This is an interesting way to see the Alzner situation. It is the first time since a long time that Mtl has to manage salary cap issues and trade assets (picks) to get some kind of release. Let me think about it...Brett Hull was a 6 round pick and score over 700 goals. I hate to give up draft picks.
