Realistic and good or not

Created by: Nik_SH
Team: 2020-21 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 15, 2020
Published: Sep. 15, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1) All three players in trade with PIT are overpaid, but I think it's win-win for both sides. Preds need to change their mentality, and PIT need to save as much money as possible.
Also it is good for players, I think.
Hornqvist gets a chance to finish his carrier with his old team, and help them winning the SC. Johnson and Turris just get a chance to change the scenario, find their game and place with new teams.
What do you think about this trade?
2) VAN saves money and I do not believe Virtanen has a real chance to be their TOP-6 forward. But in NSH he has that chance. So, in my opinion it is also win-win trade. Jarnkrok can play TOP-6 role if needed, and who knows, maybe he will be much better player with new teammates.
What do you think?
3) Just classic Watson to TOR trade. It is very popular idea. And I think it is possible. I think Preds need to make more shakeups and this is one of them.

P.S. or some thoughts about next season for NSH:
If something goes wrong - NSH should(will) trade Ekholm, Bonino and maybe someone else(before trade deadline or earlier).
If Tolvy or/and Virtanen can't play in TOP-6 as all Preds organization expect - (one of them)/they can be replaced by Tomasino orl/and 2021 1st rounder(hope it will be Quinn).

If everything is fine - I think Preds should save everyone in their group and try to win SC. Yes, likely they will lose Ekholm on the expansion draft, but he is very important peace in potential SC success.
Do not think they will be much better in next few years. Likely - not.

  2. 2020 2nd round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:

Van doesn't want salary coming back. Replace Jarnkrok with a prospect like Farrance and you have a deal.

Jarnkrok > Virtanen so not sure why NSH would be adding to the trade.

Same with the PIT trade. If NSH takes on Johnson, there is no way that PIT is getting that 2nd. Turris can still play at a positive and productive level in the NHL as a 2/3C. Johnson is literally one of the worst defenseman in the NHL.

If you take out that 2nd and do a straight Turris for JJ and Hornqvist I'm still thrilled as a Pens fan. Hell I'd even add a pick.

I'd be fine with bringing Hornqvist back, but not at the cost of acquiring Johnson. I realize that probably doesn't work with the scenario of trading Turris and PIT needing to save some cap. If we're spending that much on 3rd LD, I'd rather see Kulikov, Brodie, or Dillon as FA, or trade for someone like Jake McCabe.

Pittsburgh says yes, could probably move the pick back a round or two and it’s still fine

I know Turris is a risky contract to take back, but I think I'd be cool with that trade even if we were adding a pick.

Poiles end of the season press conference said he wants to get younger and give some young guys chances. This proposal made an already old team way older with these trades. Hornqvist is a former shell of his old self and we have way better options for a lhd 3rd pairing than this. The Pittsburgh trade makes us a worse. I’d rather just buy out Turris and use that money elsewhere before I would ever consider this deal
