Description
I know Bruins fans will say "switch Kuraly and Bjork." However, when paired with Coyle on the wing Kuraly was effective. The trades shouldn't surprise anyone, and I know those players might have some interest around the leauge, but I think the Bruins need the extra Cap space in order to improve the team with Brodie and Smith. Brodie should be the Bruins top candidate for LHD (even though he played RHD with Calgary), and Smith has been a consistent 20-goal scorer over his career and an undervalued/underrated player IMO.

Solid enough for a minimalistic approach.

I hope Chara comes to his senses and decides to retire.

And ya there is a reason why Bruins fans say that. Bjork is not fit for 4th line. He’s not a defensive checking grinder. He is completely miscast in that role.

Agreed to disagree then and Bjork and Coyle have also been good together... Don't see Grzelcyk taking this deal.

Bjork shouldn't have been signed to a 3 yr extension. He's not good enough to play on the 3rd line and if he can't play on the 4th, what good is he?

You think he signs a two year deal at that cap hit? It's a significant raise, either way.

Big Kuraly fan but he is just not a 3rd line player. Smith is a good hard nosed player. If Sweeney can’t bring in a player like Hall, Smith is solid.

" Significant " but he was underpaid in his current deal, especially this year. He could easily get $4M if Cassidy played him more with McAvoy.

How isn't he good enough? Maybe if Coyle and him wouldn't have the Ritchie brothers/Backes/Wagner/Nordstrom and an actual 3rd line two-way winger that can also score, they would succeed.

You've already agreed to disagree on Bjork/Kuraly perspectives. I don't know why so many Bruins fans are this big on Grizz. He's a solid defenseman, but is he going to make that much more than Carlo?

I can't predict future but he should (in his next deal). He is better than Carlo. He can play at literally any place in the top4 (left/right side) and in any situation. Can't find those guys that often.

He's a better puck mover than Carlo, but better? I don't think so. Grizz and Carlo should play on the same line next year, depending on what they do in the offseason to address the LHD holes.

All-around, yes. Carlo is good defensively but has zero offense. Grzelcyk is more rounded. Carlo is already underpaid at $2.85M so
