Russell helps OTT get to the cap floor

I think that the Laine offer is feasible from a Jet perspective- maybe I'm wrong. Do Oiler fans think it's an overpay?

Do Buffalo fans think that the Rasmus deal is too light? I've heard that Buffalo is eager to move on from him. Not sure how true that is.

For the last time, we don't need help reaching the floor, and that's not something you can use as leverage even if we did, we can just overpay a UFA if necessary. Russell is a cap dump that has zero value to us as a player. You will have to pay us to take him

That would be a no from Buffalo I'd imagine. Doubt they take a chance on Puljujarvi and eat Neal's contract for Risto. He's too valuable.

I mean thats a big underpay for Laine. You'll need to add at least a 3rd round pick to Ottawa. Thinking Benning and Athanasiou will take much less money on their RFA contracts is wishful thinking when they are UFAs if you don't qualify them. I'd hit the reset button is this one

Kairi is a dime a dozen 4th liner and Lagesson looks like nothing more than an NHL/AHL tweener. Every team has plenty of guys like that, and while 4th rd pick may not be much there's still a chance to find a good player there instead of using it to acquire something you already know isn't good
