We’ll even retain half his contract to get it done!

not the 2020 pick though, Timmins and a 2021 seems like a value they can live with.

Rackell only has 2 years left on his contract. Solid target for the Avs though. Deep draft with some good Dman available in that Avs pick range. Keep that 2020 pick espeically if you are able to draft william wallinder. He will be able to join the Avs system sooner which makes moving Timmins easier to handle knowing you have an AHL available kid in the mix right now.

2021 works for me. Timmins is the real target for us. 1st is to keep value solid.

2021 and Timmins would hurt but its a price I think they can live with...especially after the 2020 draft if they know they got a Dman in the fold with pick.
Personally I woluld hope avs go after a younger more term guy if they would part Timmins in a trade.

Getzlaf says no
No to the Lindholm trade
Not sure why we’d want 9 million dollar subban
Colorado and Toronto ones aren’t horrible

We could get a much better package for Lindholm rather than a singular prospect. I’d rather get a B-ish prospect a pick and scoring help than just one prospect we don’t know will spark or not.

Getlzaf publicly stated he doesn’t want to leave the Ducks

I’d rather have Gudbranson because it saves us like 6 mil and Guddy was actual decent when he played with us.

Not too shabby. Here are my thoughts on all the trades. The Getzlaf trade is pretty good, but it doesn’t happen. Getzlaf is gonna finish out his current contract as a Duck and possibly his career as well. The Rakell trade I’d say is fair value for both sides. The Avs are looking for another winger for the top 6 and Rakell more than fits the bill at a team friendly cap hit. The Ducks are looking for a RD and Timmins IMO no longer has a spot in Colorado, but he also might be too good for the AHL at this point. Another 1st is also nice. Probably the most realistic trade here. The Manson trade is definitely interesting because I do agree that the Ducks could get a 1st for him, I just don’t know if it would necessarily be this year’s 15th overall pick. Also, the Ducks might be able to get a solid prospect out of that trade as well. The Lindholm trade is probably the one I have the most issues with. The Rangers are not gonna be trading Nils Lundkvist anytime soon and the Ducks can also get more for Lindholm. If the Rangers are getting Lindholm, then we’re getting DeAngelo, a 1st, and maybe a prospect like Robertson or Reunanen or Pajuniemi. The Gudbranson for Subban trade might be the hardest one to analyze because I feel that more pieces would be part of a trade like this. I feel that the Devils could probably get a good prospect out of us just because of the name involved here, but I also feel that the Ducks can get one of the Devils later 1sts because of the cap coming our way if no salary is retained on their part and on top of that, we may be able to make them take on someone like David Backes as well. This trade kinda screams buyer and seller all at the same time to me and I don’t really know how something like that would work. Either way, it definitely wouldn’t be Subban for Gudbranson one for one especially if Subban can rediscover his game. The Granlund signing is decent and he’d be a nice fit for a team like the Ducks, but I’d probably only sign him for 2-3 years and maybe lower the amount by about 300k. Also, I feel that the Ducks sign another RD UFA. Hakanpaa is not that good and you definitely don’t want him in your top 4. Bringing back Sami Vatanen would not be out of the realm of possibility or maybe someone like Dylan DeMelo wouldn’t be a bad option. Overall you’ve got the right mindset about things, but some of the trades may just have to be touched up a bit.

What he said happy^ they won't move Getzlaf, not enough for Lindholm, and I'd rather sign a Vatanen/Shattenkirk/etc. and keep Guddy for 1 more year.

Strome and Hajek suck. That first is late. You’d rather spare parts over a top prospect right defenseman?

I wouldn’t say Strome is a spare part. But I just don’t think we should invest in a RHD prospect we don’t know enough about yet. Hence the reason I also want to stay away from Drysdale

@Ducks @coga16 Agreed. 2021 1st would be more desirable, but I think you take a long look at that deal if you're Joe.

yeah as a Rangers fan I would probably rather do both of those deals than give up Nils right now. If the Ducks would do Strome + CAR 1st + Hajek I bet it would be done as soon as the Rangers can get a replacement for Strome, and **** they might not even wait that long. The DeAngelo + Krav + 2nd (2021 bc NYR doesn't have a 2nd this year, thank you for Adam Fox Carolina) is harder and maybe I'd do Nils instead but if we still have Nils Tony is completely expendable and we have the winger depth for Krav to be expendable.
