Its not the player or the value thats wrong, its the rationale. Eichel doesnt need wingers, its the other 9 forwards away from eichel that are the problem.

Habs would rather stuff $9M down the Bell Centre toilets than ever ... ever ... ever have PK Subban back in the Habs dressing room.

No, don’t do that! They’ll need that money to the five players they’re keeping to play in AHL...and you’ll get no Subban in locker room for free.

Alzner's $3.5M in Laval is like having an extra coach on the ice to bring kids along. PK Subban in the locker room is like releasing a toxic vapour that makes everybody hate each other ... and hate him. There's a reason he was passed over in the draft by every NHL team at least once and he has never outgrown the egotism that makes him a terrible teammate. Every coach thinks they can get him to change and buy int the team thing, but he's 31 and it's a pretty safe bet that it will never happen.
