I can't see this getting it done for Anderson. If Jarmo's going to move him for a pick and a prospect, he'll want one who's got multiple years of affordable control, not somebody we have to negotiate with. And $3M is only gonna get you one year of Anderson; his agent has been pretty clear about wanting a long-term deal, and they're unlikely to accept less than a $4M AAV.

With the talent we have . We roll with 3 2nd line a 1 third line . It’s not a 4th line. Anyway, One of Domi or Danault is probably gone , or Domi moved to wing .

1 year at 3 m$ fits the bill also. Even 4m$ (just not doing the Chiasson trade and we have the space ). Juulsen won’t be tough to negotiate . Is value is 800 000 $ for one or 2 years. If hes healthy , he is a good player

You're also ignoring that we've got 10 NHL-caliber D already, and don't have a place in the league to play Juulsen. I'm not sniffing at him, but this deal isn't a fit.

Honestly not a fan of the first one for Montreal. Anderson is overrated and idk about his fit in montreal. Juulsen still has low end top 4 potential

This is what I don't get. According to everyone on CF, Anderson is simultaneously (a) overrated and (b) wanted in like 60% of the trades on this site. If he's so overrated, why do fans and real GMs want him coming to their team?

Something else could be worked instead of Juulsen like we discussed earlier . We could also aim for other big young player like Virtanen, Tuch

It’s a classic . And it’s not everybody that value a player equally, which is fine

Obviously it depends on who you ask.. but 90% of Anderson trades I see are over payments

It won't happen but if it does, Danault will request a trade asap

Well, considering that the contract he's signed for in this ACGM would cost you a 2nd-round pick on an offer sheet, that has to be considered the floor for any deal. Then you factor in the widespread demand for him, and you can start to see why the price is where it is.

Jones, Z, Savard, Gavrikov, Nutivaara, Murray, Kukan, Peeke, Harrington, Carlsson. Not saying they're all top-pair guys or anything, but adding Juulsen to that bunch doesn't really move the needle.
