switch rob or sandin for liligren and thats probs the package for parayko. both would be an overpay

Jets certainly don't want Steen and his cap. Doubt if Steen waives his NTC either. I question the Leafs could do that deal either, Too much cap and really can't fill the bottom end of the roster.

based on the most recent reports (robertson or sandin would be the chips in a parayko trade) not both. That would be an over payment especially considering a top 15 1st will be involved. As for if we can do it yes but it would mean Kerfoot would have to go.

Just got to wait and see what happens

At least it isn’t just for Parayko. Barbashev would slot in as the 3C. But no way the Leafs are giving up Sandin, Robertson *and* the 15th pick.

Pretty similar to what I was looking at a few weeks back - parayko and Barbashev for kerfoot, rob, Liljegren, 15oa. If there is actually a trade to be made, I feel like that's somewhat realistic. Both teams are so tight on cap it makes it pretty tricky tbh. Getting the feeling lately that Petro is gonna walk and Parayko stays but we will see soon enough.

I don’t disagree that it’s an overlay but it is going to take that to get Parayko. Not the poo-poo platter we’ve been seeing from all of the Leafs’ proposals.

Give up 3 top prospects for 2 years of Parayko and take on 5.5M in cap?

I wouldn't trade Sandin or Robertson for Parayko 1 for 1.

The most I'd give is Liljegren + 15OA (and Johnsson if they want him)

I would be okay with that. Barbeshev can fill 3c or wing and parayko would significantly improve our blueline. This offseason is gonna be intriguing as Dubas did say he would try and bring a solid dman back lets see what he does.

I'm just glad you're not the GM. Gut our entire future for 2 years (and we still wouldn't be cup favorites).

No chance for Parayko with that offer. I’m not looking to move him from the Blues but suggesting what it could take to get him.

This trade is like Rielly for Vince Dunn + Robert Thomas.

An obvious rejection from Toronto

Toronto's not interested at that price. That would be robbery.

We counter offer Rielly for 4 1st round picks (less than what your asking for Parayko).

But wait... then we use the cap space we save to sign Pietrangelo.

It's a high cost when you consider how valuable ELC contributors are, but Parayko would be a perfect fit for the Leafs - could probably push rielly to a Norris or create a perfect shutdown pair with Muzzin. Blues would be hurting in the short term without Parayko but they'd have better balance to the roster and a full time top4 role on his strong side for Faulk who seems pretty much immovable at this point. All moot points if Armstrong can't get Petro done.

I'd been really disappointed as a Leaf fan, if the Leafs stripped away their futures for two years of Parayko. Rather keep Sandin, Robertson and the first rounder, and let's say sign DeMelo for 3.5m

It would take more than a third rounder for the Jets to take Steens contract.
