Scandella is terrible lol, claiming Nylander only had success die to his line mates is like saying Paryako is only good because he plays with much better players

wrong. Parayko played with Bouwmeester most of his career.

dubas worked his magic and got a first for a 3rd liner who isn’t good.

So Kapanen isn't good, and a third liner. EVERYONE It's true. Toronto overvalues their players then changes it up once they are gone.

The separation from reality evident in some of these comments is alarming. Parayko is a super valuable piece.

1. Robertson could be.
2. Nylander played with much better players than Tyler Bozak and Steen/Blais.
3. Just because he won that award doesn’t mean he’s as valuable as those guys.

As for the rest, who else would the Blues want from TOR? They’re not restructuring their entire team to fit one of your “big 4” and bringing in Rielly to our position of depth (LHD) doesn’t make us better. We have Dunn/Scandella/Gunnarsson which is solid but then Perunovich and Mikkola coming up who look pretty good. Perunovich is our Robertson if you will and Mikkola looks like he has really good shutdown potential.

I wouldn't trade Sandin or Robertson for Parayko straight up let alone both and throwing in 15OA as well.

Why don't we just keep Rielly and you guys keep Parayko?

Does't every other fan base do that as well?

Kapanen's gonna be good for Pit.

I don't I can tell you just how much players on the Blues are worth. It's just Toronto wants to nit pick for a Top 3 Defensive Defenseman and want to offer spare parts at best in return.

Nylander and Marner aren't spare parts.

Your fanbase wanted Sandin + Robertson + 15OA for 2 years of Parayko.

This is just the response to that.

2 Years of Parayko you act like that's a bad thing. You guys are the ones who keep making offers for him when every Blues fan on here has said WE ARE NOT WILLING TO TRADE PARAYKO. It's the same reason why CBJ won't trade Jones, and why Carolina won't trade Pesce, and why Anaheim won't trade Lindholm, or Manson. Because you put us in a cap situation and you get off with one of the best Defenseman in the League. Defense is underrated, and unfortunately you have to pay the price for it. You see how badly you need it you can't win a round without it. We have the high ground. Doesn't matter if he is 2 years. If you don't want only 2 years. Move along go find someone else to bother. Most Toronto fans make capfriendly a waste of my time because you guys just don't get it. You think everyone is gonna do you a favor. Defense is worth more than offense on the Market. And Defense isn't very easy to come by anymore. So why in hell would the Blues trade Parayko for meh prospects that Toronto fans inflate?

LOL come back in a few years and tell me they are inflated.

Robertson had the most goals in the OHL. More than Rossi, Perfetti, Byfield and he's only a few months older...

Robertson at 19. That's like saying Kyrou was the best prospect in all of OHL because he had 100 points at 20 years old.

He's not lying tho, Robertson was like a week away from being 2020-eligible so it isn't crazy to look at his DY+1 yr along the same lines as Rossi/Perfetti DY. He has an extra OHL season under his belt but he isn't some big 20-yr old bully in juniors, he's a 5'9" goal machine. The type of prospect that you don't wanna trade. I think a lot of Leafs fans tend to sensationalize things but Robertson is definitely tracking like a star producer. Just turned 19 last week, still a long way to go but the hype is real IMO.

Robertson was 18 actually. He had better numbers than Kyrou at age 20. He also crushed Robert Thomas' numbers.

Robertson and Sandin are the real deal. Any other prospect on the Leafs I'd be 100% open to moving.

That's fair. Sandin being like 5'11" and not a dazzling skater is my only gripe. Good IQ, solid all-around, but I see a lot of people giving him more credit than he maybe deserves just because he's broken in so young. Do you see him on a top pair eventually? I don't see it; still super young tho and the decision-making can take guys a long way. I'd be more hesitant to move him just because of his cost control rather than his upside, if that makes any sense.

He's not the most physical or best skating defenceman for sure. But his hockey IQ is off the charts, that's very important for a defenceman.

There's a reason he was the top defenceman at the world juniors this year.

I see him being a #2 or #3 D man in the future.

#2 if he gets a lot stronger (which is possible for a guy his age).
#3 if he just continues to develop at a normal rate.

He's no Dahlin, Hughes or Makar but he'll be a solid defenceman for the Leafs for the next decade. Not to mention this guy can play heavy minutes already at a young age.
