Description
The Koskinen buyout was costly but much needed upgrade in goal, with the Hill resigning today Yotes move Kuemper reduce payroll 4.5 mil and gain the 14 OA pick in this yrs draft recovering one of the picks the NHL striped them of. If Bouchard isn’t 100% ready to play every night Jones played mostly on the right side in the AHL and Lagesson has shown he can be a effective 3rd pair in the NHL. Brassard is a upgrade at the 3rd line centre position and AA and JP need to prove they have a spot on the team before they are move or not qualify next offseason. I don’t believe Montreal or Ottawa will have any issues with both move low risk moves that don’t cost much.

It’s 2 yr bridge deal he’ll get is then at that point the oilers lock him up for 6 yr plus.

We are deep on the LD prospects it have to be a RD or centre prospect and I believe u have any you’d want to part with or have the value to make it work.

because he's french, and everyone assumes the Habs will overpay for a bottom-6 forward then.

Weal and Hudon would likely cost less than Chiasson too.

Chiasson 2.1 mil 62 points 33 which are goals over the last 2 yrs 1 yr left on his deal
Weal 1.4 mil 36 points 16 which are goals over the last 2 yrs 1 yr left on his deal
Hudon needs RFA needs new deal 900k on the cheap has 7 points 4 which are goal over the last 2 yrs

You can see Chiasson is the more productive player getting more for your money then the other 2 and has a cup ring to his name and brings veteran leadership to the room, Montreal getting the best player in this deal. It’s a low risk deal as it’s only for 1 yr

Don't fluff his stats, he got some ice time McD.

Chiasson is a carrer 18-25 point player.

I'd rather ship Weal and Hudon for 4th and 6th rd picks and take a roll of the dice.

I don’t see georgiev as a#1 starter more a 1A/1B which would work with Koskinen as he’s a 1A/1B guy to and the 2rd would be off the table and add a prospect like Benson instead the only problem is both your guys are RFA this yr and Edmonton doesn’t have the cap room to sign them money would have to go back to the rangers in the deal likely a player like Chiasson 1 yr left at 2.1
I’d love to see deangelo in a oilers jersey

who cares, i'd rather 2x 7th than take on the dead weight of Chiasson. Honestly, I like Weal, he skates hard and has the work ethic, not a big point producer, but can keep up if energy is needed in the upper lines.

Edmundson has a cup, and would be just as much of a voice in a locker room as Chiasson.
Price and Weber have enough olympic hardware too.

Montreal needs a top 6 LW, which isn't happening with these parts, so, time to move on from this nonsense.
