If Dubas gave that up for Matt Murray he should be run out of town. You're not getting Montour for Andersen either. Goalies are not worth as much as everyone thinks.

1 year of Freddy. I like Freddy a lot and Leafs will have an extremely tough time improving on him in goal. But it’s only 1 year left on his deal.

Montour played on his offside and in a System that Was not right for him. He Would have 40pts a year with Leafs

Well Montour was doing something right.
Only Ristolainen had a higher TOI/gm than he.
Among all skaters only Scandella had a higher PDO than he and no one had a higher 5 on 5 SV% or +/-.
All this while playing his off wing. I would hardly call that BAD!
He is one of many players apparently did not fit into the Krueger mold as Vesey, Sheary, Rodrigues, Montour, Miller, Hutton, Okposo and lest we forget Skinner all had career worse seasons.
So while you may suggest the entire Buffalo defense is bad, only 8 teams gave up fewer 5 on 5 goals than the Sabres, they were all playoff teams and did not have a blind GK who lost 12 straight while sporting a 4.0+ GAA.
