The point is that Gorton isn't going to want Domi. Not even for a 2nd round pick. Personally, I think Strome is a fit with the Habs. If Habs fans don't think Strome would be valuable as a winger on their top 3 lines they're entitled to that opinion. I think Bergevin would jump at that trade, but then again, only he knows for sure.

Yeah this checks out both ways.

LOL, Domi isn't worth a 2nd round pick. Nice chat! I'll be fascinated to see what happens with Strome this offseason.

Going after Domi without offering an effective 4th liner or the 22nd overall pick (let alone both plus) is akin to going to a brothel with a wet spaghetti noodle.

Like I said I didn't say they get him for free for instant maybe a dlo swap or 1st plus something like lias and something but lemmy isn't on the table

Yup just 2 months after Tatar was traded to you guys as a cap dump....Again, might want to avoid using Chiarelli trades as the barometer of "value". Seems like everyone gets better once they leave Edmonton too. I mean look how AA's value took a nose dive once he got there. Frankly I'd say Strome putting up 35 points playing primarily with Jujhar Khaira and never sharing the ice with McD or Drai is kinda impressive.

Also not sure why Habs fans want to call Domi a 70 point player when he's been an absolute model of consistency. He's played 5 NHL seasons, in 4 of them he's put up between 45 and 52 points. That's a tight window, and Domi hits it 80% of the time. It's rare and impressive to find a player so consistent, not sure why you wouldn't be proud of that.

Let Domi plays with Panarin one year and YES he will put 70pts back on the board... nothing wrong with Drouin, Armia, Lehkonen etc... but Domi was playing with weaker player and still make 50Pts... so imagine him surrounded with PAn & Kakko

So wait, Domi was on your 4th line, and has been surpassed by 3 other C's, and yet returns a 1st+ 2 good young players? What kind of meth are they making up in Montreal

We don’t want Domi

They keep trading us the wrong Montreal C. No interest in Domi.

Not many teams are going to go for a defensive liability that strictly wants to play C, and wants at least 6 mil (he just signed on with Darren Ferris). Frankly there's probably not that many teams that see Domi as a C much less a top 6 C, much less a top 6 C that they want to pay 6+ mil.

No lol. We don’t need top 9 C now that’s why we don’t want Strome. We explained it to you. However , your team need top 9 C like Domi I think .
