Jets are screwed

Description
i tried. I'm not a jets fan so I hope the lineup is accurate enough for positions. This is crazy if they want their defense and 2c to be really good. its impossible to fix this team without sacrificing a top 6 winger

I mean, it’s highly likely Bryan little ends up on LTIR as he was already contemplating retirement like a month ago, doctors and family will try and shut him down due to injury history and quality of life importance.

Also, they’d likely target dillon over Vatanen and resign DeMelo. Where it gets tough is finding a 2C, yes you’re right to get there it’s likely one of the top wingers have to go unless they want a low end 2C like a Dylan Strome. Or they could take the O/S route and go after Cirelli which is also unlikely. It’ll be really interesting to see how Chevy handles this offseason. Also no chance wheeler is at 2C.

My guess is they will sign DeMelo and Haminoc which i think would solve their D issue. Samberg should be NHL ready this season so I believe the left side is good. I do agree about a top winger being moved and at the end of the day you will get a very good package for either Laine or Ehlers and I believe it will either be one of them. I cant see Conor due to his ceiling still being very high and being locked up long term. I think it would be a bad idea moving him. The problem with Laine is the inconstancy and he will asking for a 9M+ contract. Ehlers is on a very good contract but his physicality is what brings him down big time when it comes to playoffs. He gets pushed off the the puck too much. But yeah if the Jets want a young 2c they need to move a top winger.

Montreal declines that trade without a 2nd thought. That trade takes our 2nd best RW (our weakest position) and trades for another LD who would be the 6th Best LD on Montreal (Behind Chairot, Edmondson, Romanov Kulak and Mete) the only way they even consider is if Roslovic is thrown in instead of Niku or Vesalinen is added to the return

A guy with dayoff in his name pick up the phone?!!
You can't seriously expect Chevy to actually do his job do you?!!!.. 😂

Really though an in division trade was unlikely, great deal for Buffalo and Staal in Winnipeg would've been cool, won't be surprised if he retires though.
