irfaan gaffar (sportsnet 650) reported on twitter that toffoli could be snagged for 4.8 mil x 4 - absolutely incredible value and i doubt it happens, but if it does....

also with tanev apparently considered imminent to leave- barrie has been linked to Vancouver forever, and as much as I'd despise any type of massive deal, and im not sure about the fit... the rumours are there and he may be willing to take cheaper money because of how favourable Vancouver is as a destination (and as a hometown kid) and as he had a horrific year last year. vancouver's defense is all of a sudden set up to be one with a priority on moving the puck up ice (....If not, tanev should cost similar money either way)

assuming markstroms contract matches lehners rumoured deal...here's my best attempt at an ideal canucks roster going into next season without anything ~too~ ridiculous happening

It's going to take more than Rafferty to get Ottawa to take that contract. I would think at least one first needs to go to Ottawa

Gonna cost more for Mete I’d assume, and Eriksson will cost more to move then Marleau. Flat Cap/ Pandemic, plus longer contract than Marleaus and it cost a first for the Leafs to do so

Detroit declines we could've had Baertschi for free when he was on waivers. You need to add a major sweetener for any GM to take on that contract.

1 year left at almost 50% retention isn't too bad - they could chuck in a 3rd or something but that's about as much as would make sense tbh

VAN doesn't need another small dman it makes no sense for them. Also they need a RHD.
