Pass. Tkachuk has a more rare and valuable skillset. He's also a much better shot generator.

Sharks decline, were so tight financially we can’t risk sutter being top 6 caliber like he was 3 years ago or bottom
6 like the last 2 years.
If we had 5-6 mil more this offseason I’d risk it since it’s just one year but I just can’t do it this year.

That’s what I’d want for the Wings to take Baertschi

Well that’s just an exaggeration. They’re pretty equal value players just with different skill sets. Ottawa doesn’t really have a sniper of Boeser’s caliber.

Not an OTT fan but I’m pretty sure Brady is about as untouchable as Pettersson

They went with Brady rather than sending the pick to Colorado (the pick that turned into Byram, and could have been 1st overall), and that’s because they really loved Tkachuk. He’s not going anywhere unless it’s for something ridiculous like Pettersson

Equal value? No chance. Considering Tkachuk impacts the game in multiple ways and boesers game is purely scoring... Tkachuk is more valuable and you'd have to trade more than what's 'fair'. Even then, tkachuk is a pretty good scorer, he just does it with less finesse. This would be asking what Vancouver would want for pettersson. Way beyond what a team would offer
