Trading DomiByron and Adding Hoffman

Created by: CLR
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 16, 2020
Published: Sep. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Byron is a known leader . He is from Ottawa. When healthy (I think he will be good), he can chips 20g. He is only due 2,8m$ in 2020 , comparing to 3m$ for gaborik. I would not be surprise to see that deal.
I think Domi would be a perfect fit in NYR uniform. They would trade Strome by acquiring Domi

I’m assuming oilers would only bother moving Chiasson if it was a full cap relief otherwise just fine keeping for final year.

Bergevin doesn't like Hoffman and he won't trade Byron
He is a leader, an exemple for the young player
He has an ''A'' on is jersey, Bergevin will keep him

I am sure that if Ottawa agree to take Byron, Bergy will trade him. He did it with Shaw, Eller , for cap relief

I think they will be interested in a 750k$ relief. If not , it doesn’t change the team much

Domi was surpassed by all 3 C's behind him on the depth chart, and yet he's now worth a top line winger AND a 2nd? lol, keep smoking that crack Habs fans

Top line winger ………………………………….. best season 21 goals, he's a middle six winger at best

Calmos. Domi plays the more important position. Domi is also more productive. He is definitely a 2C. The 2nd might be too much, but it ain’t far value wise like you try to portray .

I don’t agree . Domi is faster , more productive , more grit , 2 years younger than Strome .

And why would Ottawa want a 4th line player past his prime signed on a ugly contract when then can just keep Gaborik as a cap hit to get to the floor while the insurances pay his salary?

Is it really paid 100% by insurance ? They need to get to te floor. Byron still useful , from Ottawa , etc . We never know . They might take him. Don’t forget they took zaitsev for much longer and more money

Just giving a look at the Sens, they will get to the floor just by resigning their RFAs. With the lost of revenues expected next year, many teams will cut on spending, what Ottawa was already doing before COVID-19.

Every fanbases need to stop dumping bad contracts to OTT and DET. They won't accept the financial burden just for fun.
