Trade is fine but not sure what Soderbloom has to do with any of that

No way Vegas pays to trade Fleury. Vegas will be able to trade Fleury for value, not a dump. He is still top 10 in the league, and too many teams will be looking for a new (Formidable) starting goaltender this year with not much term left...Carolina, Redwings, Washington, San Jose, LA, Boston?, and if Florida gets antsy with Bobs contract, their buyer’s remorse just might have them buy Bob out, or pay Seattle a boatload to take him in the draft in 2021, so they could be looking too.

Fleury's not gonna cost a 1st to move out but he's gonna cost something to move out unless Vegas retains like 2M.

He's the 5th highest paid goalie in the league but he's not the 5th best goalie in the league. I'd probably put him in the 20s.

This is easily doable,

retaining on Fleury won't be a problem as we have no real contracts to sign in the next 2 years, and a retained Salary Fleury has more than enough value that we would not be "paying" to move him.
(i'm not expecting a decent return, but we won't be adding picks or anything, let alone this goofy 1st rd pick stuff)

Oops... Wondered why they weren't in there now that you mentioned it. Was in a bit of a time crunch and thought id already fixed that. Wed have gobs of cap space to sign them though

I dont know. You're probably right, first round pick may be a bit of a stretch but no way is any competitive team going to swallow 5-7 mil more on another goalie. Also didnt jake allen just get traded for a 3rd and a 7th? Goalies dont bring returns usually, and a 35yo goalie with 3yrs left at 7m per... Unless vegas eats half that theyll be fortunate to get a 3rd pairing or bottom 6 forward.

2 years left, not 3 years

As for the return, we're not really expect more than a 4th liner.

Honestly if we retained 3 mil and only got back a 6th rd pick it wouldn't hurt us. (someone gets 2 years of Fleury @ 4 mil)

Still that's a far cry from having to Pay a 1st rd pick to move him.

He's won 3 stanley cups and still able to do so for a good team. He won't cost a thing to move.
