Description

Per RMNB report. If true Caps would have to lay real low on Free Agency but if they can work a trade or three in the next year or so to free up money it's doable. That would need to happen to keep Vrana also who is not on this roster. Also, prospects McMichael, Fehrevary, Alexeyev, Samsonov definitely have to pop soon I think. Bottom 6 looks pretty sorry here though.

Yes. But the latest source is this. Maybe we are getting leaked the negotiation? I just wanted to see how that salary, coupled with a flat cap would effect the roster. It kinda looks like Edmontonville to me.

If Ovi wants to win a second cup, he can't ask for $12 mill, especially with Backy making $9.2. I just don't see us being quite as competitive with $21.2 mill tied into two aging players in a flat cap.
