Monahan is a better center, Same reason Giroux, Stamkos, Benn, Wheeler don't play center

I think Monahan for Dumba is probable, but Calgary likely isn't giving up Monahan one for one in that. tweener 1/2C for Calgary's new 4D isn't great value.

Yeah CGY probably has the leverage if they have that discussion. It would def be a way to shake up the Flames, but losing Monny would hurt unless they can find some other moves to accompany.

It likely sees Lindholm slide to center full time and Lindholm/Backlund/Bennett/Ryan/Gawdin becomes the middle of the ice which is just average. They would then likely target a winger in trade (Hanifin as trade bait?) or free agency - they will bid on Hall by all accounts.
