    for starters, the 2019 pick wouldn't have been involved as he signed after the 2019 draft and wouldnt have been eligible to sign until after the 2019 draft

    facts, besides no team would toss out an OS if they knew it involved 2nd overall pick, even if the chronology made sense.

    Someone did. Mitch refused 2 offer sheets and there was a massive offer sheet ready for Matthews but they signed him before he was eligible.

    yeah and? Still made the conference finals in 2016-17. We are now what the leafs were for 20 years.

    we actually have a conference champions banner from 2006-07 season. Which was still more recent than the leafs last playoff series win.

    alright? My point still stands that even as dysfunctional as the senators organization is and was for the past 15 years, they've still been better than the leafs.

    I'd rather have Panarin and the picks instead of Marner. Panarin was one of, if not the best player in the league this year.
