Why does Thornton comes to the Leafs? For that money he'll stay home in San Jose.
Not impressed by the Manson trade. Two years of an middling Manson isn't worth the cheaper Kerfoot and the potential of Liljegren. Of course any mention of Kesler in a trade, kills all creditability in the deal?Wasn't the fascination about Kesler to the Leafs?

Kesler is just an added incentive if Anaheim doesn't want to pay him his salary while he is on LTIR. Toronto has shown they don't care about doing that.

Why does Anaheim pay his salary?

Yes the Leafs did the original Horton/Clarkson trade, but that was all. Certainly Clarkson had his salary paid by insurance.

He's still under contract, does not get paid (or a %) regardless even if he is on LTIR?

And than you put him on waivers when you send him down?

He’s hurt, he does not go on waivers, and the player you bring up Is not one that requires waivers to go back. Pretty simple
