I assume it’s close but maybe the sharks would need to add a prospect or 3rd from our 2021?

Obv depends on what the board looks like but from STL's position, if they think Justin Barron would be there at 34 they should consider it. He's a good fit for our needs, but there are also a ton of good forwards that I'd love to have at 26oa. Value-wise the 2 x 2nds would be plenty, just depends on who's available. Who would you want the Sharks to move up for?

you should keep 1 pick and trade the other for a player that needs a change of scenery

As you’re saying there’s so many names lol!
I mean you have neighbours, vasili p, they could be there with our Tampa pick then if we trade up we can get maybe Jacob Perrault, maybe guhle, or orouke or wallinder.

The sharks could use two real solid prospects at if we go two picks from 26-31 we can really improve our system

Primarily I’d want to trade up for Perrault

Very true but I’d love to get two kids from this draft, obviously it’s safer to just keep our 34 and our COL second but just suggesting a value for trade up potential

Also I’d really want Perrault

well yeah, but we don't know the team's board so it's impossible to speculate on a trade-down tbh. If they have Reichel or Perreault, for example, 15th on their board and he's there at 26, no chance of moving down. all depends how the selections go.

My philosophy would be to trade down for 2 x 2nds. Historically seems to be way more effective than trading up.

the picks are 34th and 54th, not really sure that is enough to trade up to 26th, might have to throw more in. Either way, I'd do that.

closest comps i found:
2016 Blues got 26 for 28 and 87
2015 Jackets got 29 for 34 and 68
2015 Isles got 28 for 33 and 72

i think the value is there.

thats the thing with this draft, after the top 12, everything will be all over the place. I can def see guys ranked 13 or 14 that drop to 25

Tbh I any pick 40 under I’m “considering” a first basically with this year being so deep; it’s definitely easy to see a player picked 40-60 being a top player for their team with the right development (and a lot of luck lol).

There really are so many good prospects this year. TBH, I'd love to get into a position to pick Seth Jarvis, but that's unlikely.

I’ve heard a lot of people say he’s been overrated and think he’s gonna bust, even some people who have respected what he’s done I think.

His pace was crazy but also his pace screams one off due to the high point pace in such a short period

I've heard a lot of the opposite (Draft Dynasty guy has him in his top-10), and I've seen videos of his play (dude moves like Mitch Marner). I've been thoroughly impressed by him since last winter!

I was super high on Perreault for a long time, but I've since cooled since it was proven he lacks hustle.
