Brown can't skate anymore.

Just buyout Alzner, don't give up Brook.

and the people from the armpit of Canada will come running and yelling "Suzuki or KK have to be there"... so... yeah.

I mean, that's objectively not true about Brown. He was on pace for 45 ish points last year on a terrible offensive Kings team. And he's good for the same probably through the end of his contract.

Yea that's very much not true about Brown. He's still a quality middle-six winger. Also, he's not being traded, so it doesn't really matter.

Not even close for Patrik Laine, Any deal for Laine starts with either Suzuki or Kotkaniemi.

35 points with 18:24 a game, most ice time of any RW on his team.

he won't get near that on this roster, and expect the points to dip from there, keep the 2nd and the 3rd, better depth options available out there in the 25-30 points range for cheaper.

I'm not saying that's not how he would produce on another team, I was just merely contesting the "Brown can't skate" comment. He's a perfectly fine winger in the NHL right now in the right role, but you're right that there are probably cheaper guys around for that role.
