I’d even do this with a 3rd instead of Virtanen.

A 7th round pick isn’t a deal breaker.

Replace that 7th with a 3rd and it's a fair deal for everyone involved.

Lmao what? I'd rather let Tanev/Markstrom walk then do this. God Awful. Loui can just be sent down and save us 1.4 million in cap space

Agreed, still we need to worry about contract limits, so them taking erne and paying him 925k shouldn't be a big deal, or they can not even qualify him if they don't want.

That’s no how one way contracts are treated when sent down. You’d get $1,075,000 in relief but you’d have to fill that roster spot so assuming it’s less than that (the minimum is 700k for next season) you’d get the difference in cap space savings. Here’s the source under buried contracts.

I understand how they work I just misread the number. Either way, I'd rather let all our UFAs walk than give up all those assets for absolutely nothing. The most I'm attaching to Loui Eriksson to ditch his contract is a 2nd +meh prospect
