i would too but this is the case if LA takes Byfield. If we draft Stutzle and Drysdale, i think wed be in a weird position lineup wise

when was the last time a team had 2 picks inside the top 5? Sens made some really good decisions after the duchene situation

im quite happy with the return in the Duchene trade. Also the Dzingel trade was one of the best ive seen in a while. The Brassard trade was also very solid. Karlsson trade was amazing. I think Dorion has done good on everything but the Vegas trade. I still think it should have been Brannstrom + top 9F and 1st round pick. instead of Brannstrom + depth player + 2nd rounder

i was talking more about obtaining duchene sorry i wasnt clear. any thing after that was $$$. Yeah Stone looks elite... maybe he was trying to send him to a contender and didnt want to ruin the deal? who actually knows....

I mean that’s fine, no rush lol, not like we’re gonna be good anyway. Rossi probably wouldn’t step right in either.

I still think we should draft Raymond or Holtz at 5 though tbh. I think Stutzle was only playing LW because he was a 17yo playing in a professional league, he still plays C internationally and it’s his natural position so I hope he’ll be a 1C long term as well

As a Kings fan, I know a lot of fans are split on picking between Stutzle/Byfield with a slight majority leaning towards Stutzle, due to the fact that he is from a pure talent standpoint the 2nd best player in the draft. I want them to select him, due to the fact that with Vilardi, Turcotte, Madden, Thomas, and Dudas the Kings are pretty stacked at Centre, but besides Kaliyev our wing prospects are lacking slightly.

Isles in the DiPietro draft I think (they took him first and Torres at 5 iirc)

I agree. I think LA needs Stutzle and then a sniper winger with their 2nd rounder

I'd actually prefer getting an offensive LHD in the 2nd round for the Kings, because of the insane forward depth the Kings have. And as the Kings defence looks for the future, they got Bjornfot, & Anderson as the LHD for the foreseeable future, Doughty, Roy, and Walker on the RHD, but nobody is really elite offensively, so if they were to find that guy in the 2nd, somebody like a Ryan O'Rourke.
