Description
Wasn't trying to go for the most accurate trade values - just trying to see what pieces would need to be moved if Toronto were to actually go after Pietro. They would be pretty screwed in the future with no space for contracts for Rielly, Hyman, Mikheyev in the near near future.

I would have to think about making these moves

Would argue that a 20 goal, 40 point, 25 year old is for sure worth a 2nd but everyones different.

I more wanted to see how far the depth was depleted by signing Pietrangelo

Wouldn't think goalies have that much value with so many players on the market right now. Korshkov +2nd is fair.

Andersen went for 30th overall + a 2nd which is pretty similar to what you would be asking for. Andersen was a better goalie at that point with a higher demand for goalies on the market than currently.

We don't need Korshkov. We can just keep him.

I'd say that you'd have to trade Holl or Kerfoot just for having some cap space

yeah I just look at the 41st pick from past years and I think there's a chance of getting a good top 6 player and johnsson is good but in this time I think he gets no more than a late 2nd

That's fine and all a late 2nd is okay for Johnsson from my books anyway. Picks are overrated for sure tho. Here's an article

https://dobberprospects.com/nhl-draft-pick-probabilities/

There's about a 35% that a second round pick will even play in the NHL, let alone be a good top 6 player. It's easy to think that you are getting a top 6 guy because they stand out but statistically it's not a good chance.

yeah thats a good article. I know the numbers aren't that great but there are still good players in the 2nd round and teams are willing to pay for that risk 2019:Robertson 2018: Romanov 2017:Boqvist, texier 2016: Kyrou, Debrincat, Girard, Hart, Lindgren, Hronek, Dube 2015: Dermott, Aho (CAR), Carlo, blackwood, Cernak, Sprong, Hintz, Greenway, Andersson, Dunn, Kylington
