Thoughts on all sides here:

ARI: Get younger at C, add a cheaper option at G cash-wise, and get back into the 2021 first round
TOR: Add a tough, responsible RD, shed Andersen's cap hit for a run at Pietrangelo
CBJ: Add Stepan for a more likely option at 2C, get a prospect to help restock pipeline, move up six picks in October

It's not the worst. I don't like the extra 1sts added to clutter things. I understand there's moving up being done here but it really just makes the deal look like it has more big pieces in it than it does. There are positives for Toronto for sure but it's not totally insane. Maybe just get CBJ a better prospect to justify losing Savard. Dumping Wennberg helps them too. I don't like retaining on Kuemper either if they are gonna eat Wennbergs money.

But all of that is smaller and fixable stuff. So not terrible.

Couldn't figure out what better prospect would work for Toronto, since Robertson is likely off-limits, and Sandin/Liljegren aren't as desirable for Columbus. And the pick deals look like clutter, but I'd bet they represent a maximum of moving back one round between them, since the Coyotes aren't likely to be outstanding next year, and Toronto should be good.

Appreciate the feedback!

All makes sense, I just hate checking which picks are which spots. but yeah, three team trades are usually just a joke and this one is not that.

Yeah, it was born out of Leafs fans lusting after Savard, but not being willing to give up Nylander without like Anderson and Korpisalo also going to Toronto. So I tried to dial it down.

I'm not a Leafs fan but I was on Savard coming to Toronto last November. The Freddy stuff has made it all complicated though.

Edited Sep. 17, 2020 at 7:18 p.m.. Reason: Why do I keep calling Arizona "Phoenix"?! It's #$@&ing embarrassing.

Which is why I involved Arizona, who want to cut costs. Even if Andersen's cap number is big, he's only due $1M this year in actual cash salary.
