Chicago says no, you aren’t going to get out of Vlasic’s contract easily, and certainly not while getting positive value out of it.

I’ll keep 4 years of Seabrook.

hawks decline. We're off the hook with seabs in 4 years max, more than likley only 1 or 2 before hes LTIR, where vlasic still had 6 years left at a slightly higher cap hit

I mean your acting like I’m getting out of something yet we’re getting a player who didn’t even play for the hawks full time while Vlasic would actually play a season. Understand your opinion of saying no but it’s not exactly a heist as I’m exposing simek in order to cover seabrook

Yup, not ideal for the hawks. I didn’t think Seabrook was that injured and it was more the hawks didn’t want to play him. I’m assuming a mix of both tho

Yeah, I think the main problem you've got here is that I don't think there's a snowball's chance in a California wildfire that you get either Burns or Vlasic to agree to either of those moves. Vlasic has a full NMC which I cannot see him waiving to go to Chicago, of all places. Burns has a 3 team trade list, which functions more or less as a NMC and I don't think Philly is going to be on his list of "yeah, okay"

Well Philly as a team is a team trending towards the ECF/SCF; I think they’re a team he could legit see being worth a chance at winning with. They’re young and successful with vets.

As for Chicago; yeah that’s a much harder sell and much more unlikely. (As you said and as the Chicago fans listed above)

Don't really see Pittsburgh moving their only backup, but if they did the expectation would be a 3rd or 4th back with no picks going the other way, in line with what Campbell/Allen got

Philly has $7m in cap space right now and will need a RW or two next season - which sounds like they could maybe take Burns and his monster contract on, right? Except nah, that would be incredibly dumb of them. They need a backup goalie - I cannot see them sticking with Elliot, not with his age and steady decline factored in - and next year they're going to have to PAY UP for Hart. In my opinion, reserving some cap space now so they won't have to lose pieces next year to deal with that would be the smart move.

That’s why I didn’t trade them burns flat, it was JVR and burns, but I know what you’re saying for the future but Still cap moved out here to not effect their current cap issues

I'd keep both Burns over JVR and Vlasic over Seabrook.

A lot of differing opinions here haha!

Yeah it’s literally just moves for the future. It makes more sense in the real world for both teams to sit tight
